About

Kendall Westfield is a Detroit-based content creator and video editor with a passion for visual storytelling. She specializes in documentary-style filmmaking and is drawn to transforming real moments into cinematic, meaningful narratives.
Her journey began at Michigan State University, where she developed her craft as a storyteller and discovered the power of video in capturing emotion, perspective, and place. Since then, she has worked across a variety of industries, including creating short documentaries for nonprofit organizations and producing branded content for small businesses.
She has also had the opportunity to collaborate with brands such as Kraft Heinz (Creative Roots, Planters, and MIO), where she developed content that balanced creativity with commercial marketing while maintaining each brand’s unique voice. She is FAA Licensed Commercial Drone Pilot, expanding her skill set to include drone cinematography. She enjoys capturing landscapes, movement, and everyday moments from above to add a more cinematic and expansive layer to her storytelling.
Her work has been recognized by organizations such as the Television Academy Foundation and Michigan Student Broadcast, experiences that continue to inspire her growth as a filmmaker and editor.
Outside of video production, she is drawn to theatre, dance, and ice skating—creative outlets that continually shape her perspective as a storyteller. Whether behind a camera or exploring new places, she is always looking for moments that feel real, human, and worth remembering.
